Last Monday evening about 5:00, three girls were drowned a few miles north of Cadmus. Myrtle Crumley, Ada and Kate Gordon, aged 15, 14, and 11, respectively, were bathing in Middle Creek and got beyond their depth. Miss Crumley lives at Marceline, Mo. and was visiting with her uncle’s family.
